     Coach Tigue ran two years under Coach Karl Bostick and was a member of the Parkview state championship team in 1993.  He ran both cross country and track at Berry College where he received his B.S. in Biology in 1998.  Coach Tigue began his teaching career in 1999 at Smitha Middle School in Marietta, GA.  He received his Masters in Educational Leadership in 2005 from Kennesaw Sate University and finally made his way back to Parkview the following school year to teach science and coach cross country and track.  Coach Tigue and his wife, Brittany (Parkview class of 1993), have two daughters and one son:  Ashley (9), Courtney (3), and Joshua (1).  This is his fourth year coaching the boys.

 

     Melissa is a 1993 graduate of Parkview High School.  She graduated from Berry College in 1997 and has been teaching English at Parkview since January 1998.  She was the assistant girls' cross country coach in 1998 and 1999 and has been head coach since 2000.  Melissa graduated with a Master's degree in English Education fro Georgia Sate University in May 2003 and was married to Christopher Johnson on June 21, 2003.  Chris is the clinic manager at Atlanta Rehabilitation and is the athletic trainer who works with Parkview teams.  Melissa and Chris have a  daughter, Madison, who will be 3 in October.

Coach Thornton ran hurdles at Dacula High School from 1999-2002. He graduated from the University of Georgia in May of 2007 where he received his Bachelor's Degree in Mathematics Education. He has been the hurdles coach at Parkview High School for the past two years where he has also recently finished his first year of teaching. He is married to Shaye Thornton, who works at Northview High School in Fulton County as a Family and Consumer Science teacher. He doesn't have any kids yet, but considers his two puppies to be holding that position pretty well.

 

     Richard has been a volunteer assistant cross country and track coach for 15 years.  He is the Student Pastor at Mountain Park First Baptist Church in Lilburn, as well as chaplain for the Parkview football team.  He is married to Betsy King, who works at Camp Creek Elementary.  Richard and Betsy have one daughter, Joy, who graduated from Parkview and three grandchildren:  Lily, Easton, and Lauren.
