All runners are invited to participate in our team retreat this year which once again will be held at Berry College.  The camp will begin on Monday, July 26th and will conclude on Friday, July 30th.  The cost will be $300.  Download a flyer here:  Team Retreat 2010.

There will be a meeting for rising freshmen (and their parents) who are interested in running cross country for the panthers next fall.  The meeting will take place on Friday, May 14th, at 6:30 pm in the Parkview cafeteria.

Girls' summer Practice will begin on Monday, May 31st.  Practice will begin at 8:00 am at the Parkview Track (near the stadium parking lot).

Boys' summer practice will begin on Tuesday, June 1st.  Practice will begin at 8:00 am at the Parkview Track *near the stadium parking lot).

 
State AAAAA Championships
Congratulations to the Boys' team for their 2nd place finish at State!  The team had all seven runners under 17 minutes (first time in team history) and had a team average of 16:23, matching the school's state record set back in 1986!  Great job, guys!  Boys' State Results

Congratulations to the girls' team fro their 7th place finish at state.  The girls were led by sophomores, Sara Brown and Julianne Kurke who both finished in the top 25!  Way to go, ladies!  Girls' State Results

 
Region 8-AAAAA Championship
Congratulations to both the Boys' and Girls Varsity teams for finishing 2nd at the Region 8-AAAAA championships!  The girls were led by sophomore Julianne Kurke who finished 2nd overall and the boys were led by junior Alec Klassen who finished 4th.  Varsity Girls Results     Boys Varsity Results

Freshman Valeria Ward won the girls' junior varsity race leading the team to a second place finish. And in the boys' junior varsity race, the Panthers walked away with the team title thanks in large part by Joseph Weiler's first place overall finish.  JV Boys Results     JV Girls Results    

 
Coach Wood Invitational

The boys varsity team finished 3rd in the Championship division of the Coach Wood Invitational.  The junior varsity finished 7th out of 24 teams in the JV race.

Atlanta Invitational

Great American Cross Country Festival
The varsity boys team placed 12th in the Race of Champions at the Great American Cross Country Festival in Cary, NC.  The team was led by junior Steven Spevacek.  Meet Results
 
Manchester Invitational
The varsity girls travelled to Manchester, New Hampshire to race in the Manchester Invitational.  The girls finished 10th overall and were led by sophomore, Sara Brown.  Meet Results
 
McCallie Invitational
The junior varsity boys, led by Jake McLaren, finished 3rd at the McCallie Invitational.  The varsity boys' race was cancelled due to thunderstorms.  Meet Results.
 
County
The varsity boys' team continues to impress--The boys finished 2nd at the county meet!   Congratulations to Alec Klassen (3rd)and Steven Spevacek (7th) who earned All-County honors by finishing in the top 10.  The boys are currently ranked 10th in the Southeast and 2nd in the state!  What a difference a year makes!
 
The Varsity girls team finished 3rd at the county meet and are currently ranked #6 in AAAAA!   Congratulations to Julianne Kurke (7th) for earning All-County honors by finishing in the top 10!
 
Carrollton
Congratulations to the Varsity Boys' team for winning the Championship division of the Carrollton Invitational this past Saturday.  The team outpaced 20 other teams and averaged 16:51.99 for the first five runners.  Results:  Championship Boys.
 
The Varsity Girls' team finished 4th overall out of 19 teams in the Championship division of the Carrollton Invitational.  The Lady Panthers were once again led by Julianne Kurke who finished in the top ten with a time of 19:59.  Results:  Championship Girls.

Berry  

Congratulations the the Boys' Varsity Team for their impressive performance at the Berry High School Invitational!  Led by juniors Alec Klassen and Steven Spevacek, who both finished in  the top ten individually, the boys finished 2nd out of 51 teams.  Nice start to the 2009 Season!

Sophomore Julianne Kurke once again led the ladies to a top ten team performance at the Berry High School Invitational.  Kurke, who finished 12th overall with a time of 19:49, help lead the team to a 6th place finish out of the 45 team field .
